We have a pretty substantial roof and when it came time to replace we got 3 estimates and chose SonShine for the job after talking to Jeremy and getting our quote by the way all quotes were about the same price but the materials quoted were different. Our experience with SonShine roofing has been nothing but pleasurable. The workers were great and completed the project in only 2 days. I was amazed. Clean up was performed each day and magnets were used around the house many times. In addition to the typical ridge venting, SonShine installed a big solar powered exhaust vent at the top of peak. I haven't seen this on any other house. Works great. I highly recommend SonShine roofing to anyone that needs roof work.

We recently replaced our 20 yr. old tile roof. I cannot say enough about our positive experience with SonShine roofing and all their employees. We were always able to reach the company with any questions and they were always courteous and got back to us immediately. Our property was kept clean and tidy at all times.

I was truly hoping to have a 5 star experience but unfortunately they didn't deliver. Being in Real Estate, I have been in contact with many many contractors and roofers over the years. First and foremost the quote was more than 10k over the competition but I was impressed with the materials and quality of presentation. I liked that the company was started by the Father who is now deceased and I have to admit the name tugged at my heart strings a bit. During the process, the rot and wood repairs uncovered once the roof was removed were incorrectly measured, resulting in nearly 4-5k of added costs just for wood? and when I measured all out it was not measured correctly at the already high contracted price per linear foot. I caught this because I was paying very close attention. Most people likely wouldn't catch it. Be very careful of the fine print I had them include a certain number of deck boards in the original quote which they didn't do upfront before signing. The unforeseen wood repairs can add up exponentially, especially when the contractor is arbitrarily tacking on added expenses once your roof is off. My roof looks beautiful and it should for 50k+. I am glad it is done but I would not use this company again or recommend them based on my personal experience. They could have saved a star if they handled the miscalculated added wood repair expense better but they didn't. They also didn't match up the fascia boards well, removed previously installed pvc trim and then charged me for it's inferior wood replacement. For the cost of what they called necessary wood repairs, these items could have been better handled by a general handyman for 1/5 of the price and frankly were not necessary. Overall just another owner/contractor looking out for number 1 before his customer was the walk away experience for me.
