Hired him for shingles, gutters and garage steps/platform because of his good reputation. The shingle crew September 19 didn't tarp the tar paper before a forecasted storm, then shingled it when it was wet. Multiple shingles curved up that still hasn't been fixed. Shingle crew also left a lot of garbage, including an entire pallet, in my yard, along with 20-plus shingle nails. The shingle crew removed the gutters but the gutter crew didn't show-up until 3 weeks later Oct 19 after I “demanded” to talk to Les because he wouldn't return my calls. Didn't hear anything from him after that until December when he told me that they wouldn't be able to complete the garage stair/deck project until Spring of 20, and he tried to bill me against contract terms. Very poor communication, quality and responsiveness.

I have hired Les Grumdahl for window installation on three occasions over several years. I have a large historic home. This team has been fantastic. Always working hard to get it just right whether it was color, size, timing, they have worked with me. Jamie, one of the team, is a delightful guy, happy to go the extra mile, great attention to customer service and hard working. The windows have greatly reduced street noise and heat bill costs. It's always a tough call to replace original windows on a historic home, but once I did it, I have no regrets. I used Les each time. He is a rare find in Duluth. Good business. Ps. My neighbor recommended him to me.
