I talked with this company off and on for a year about my garage roof project. When I was ready to get the work done, we negotiated the price and I submitted the contract. That was early November. Leading up to getting my business, they were responsive, but all that changed once I submitted the contract. I was very unhappy that it took two weeks for me to get a confirmation for the receipt of my contract and to schedule the job. The young lady who initially called was very short with me on the phone, calling to ask if I knew what color shingles I wanted. I explained to her that this was the first time I had spoken with someone other than the receptionist and that I didn't even know what color shingles they had. Her response was that they had planned on doing the job the next day. When was someone going to tell me that? She also said she'd call me once she made it into the office to confirm the appointment. That never happened. In the meantime, I left a voicemail stating what color shingles I want she had left samples earlier that day. My message was never returned and I never heard back about the appointment. A whole two weeks including Thanksgiving passed before I heard back from them. When I returned to town after the holidays, I called and spoke with the receptionist the only nice person I encountered and she was very apologetic and told me she'd have someone contact me. It took a few more days, then the job was scheduled to start that following Thursday. Wednesday morning I called with questions and I encountered the young lady again the one with poor customer service skills. I asked her questions about the job and expressed my concern about the way things had been going. I told her I wanted to talk with the owner, but instead she proceeded to get into the conversation with me. I didn't want to talk with her any further. Part of my dissatisfaction was with her for not returning calls and being short. Well, she was very defensive and cut me off in the middle of me explaining why I was concerned. I was so fed up at that point, I yelled at her and asked to speak to the owner and that I was very uncomfortable with them doing the job. We got off the phone. I received a call a few minutes later from the owner, Brad, and he told me to find someone else to do my job, that I can't talk to his staff rudely. I told him his staff was rude to me and asked him if he had any interest in hearing why I wanted to speak with him. He hung up the phone. If I could give this company a flat out zero, I would. The way I was treated was absolutely inexcusable and very unprofessional. The only good thing that came out of it is that I feel like I dodged a bullet not letting them do the work. I will gladly spend my money, and even pay more, to get the job done correctly and to be treated with respect during the process. This was ridiculous!
