I saw that Ivan had a 4.5 rating so I felt comfortable arranging an estimate from him. He arrived 2 days later for the estimate. He came across as a knowledgeable, personable guy. Initially, I got a good vib from him. He told me he would email me his proposal in a couple of days. A couple of days turned into 5. I emailed him to find out why I had not received the proposal and there was no reply. I called him a few days later and he explained that he had been busy. I asked him if he could commit to my receiving his proposal by the upcoming Sunday. He replied yes. He did not meet that deadline he willingly agreed to. I do not chase contractors. There are plenty of capable, talented contractors out there to choose from. I have learned in the past that when I did not listen to the little voice in my head urging caution, I regretted it. I heard this voice with Ivan. I would not use him now even if he contacted me. If he could not meet a simple proposal deadline, what would happen if he had the job and did not complete it by the completion deadline? Been there and done that. Never again. I would urge caution in considering Top Quality for your project. |
