Great people and great service great experience

I have been doing business with Sierra Pipe for 30 years as a landscape contractor. There is no place in Auburn that out performs their service and knowledge. They taught me a lot when I was just starting out. I recommend to all my clients that they should purchase supplies from Sierra Pipe when they are working on their irrigation system. Commercial grade parts and fair prices.

I should have posted this a long time ago but here it goes. I will never step foot in this business again. My experience was some years ago but it always has stuck with me. My new husband and I married in 2018 and I told him to never go to them. My experience was horrible. I went in to buy a fitting for a hose like a washer and the young girl and man sneered at me since I first walked in. They were clearly mean and angry individuals. My gut instinct was that that were extremely racist and didn't want me in there at all. My father lived in auburn over 30 years and I visited frequently through the years and I have never run into such blatant disrespect and racism. Their hate was seething. And for no other reason than that I was not white. I couldn't believe it myself but it is true ! I will never step foot in there ever again. I never expected to ever experience such racism so blatant there was no other reason why they should have treated me that way. Beware if your tan or olive skinned whether you black Hispanic or Puerto Rican do not I REPEAT do not go in there business unless you intend to be treated like garbage. This experience has stuck with me through the years and I can only imagine the racism that had been instilled in them through their parents. Now if I ever experienced that with any business I'll definitely speak up next time. Horrible people. Just a hateful young girl and guy who I don't even know if they work their anymore. But my experience was bad enough to finally post these years later and to never patronize their store ever. In the past I would go to ace hardware in grass valley. Worth the trip and they are nice people not like the young girl and guy at this store !!!!!!!! They should be ashamed of themselves. Karma will be their worst nightmare.
