My House Renovation Inc. – Roofing Contractor in Carmichael, California

It has taken me almost a year to see all their mistakes. I had a new roof and windows put in last year, and it was never a pleasant experience. To start off, after the initial contract signing and a start date decided on I got tired of calling and asking when they would start because they hadn't been able to order my widows, so I went down in person to talk to them about it and was told that the salesmen and one of the managers would come to my house in 2 days to talk about other options paint and siding instead of windows. When they showed up, it was the original sales men good guy and a Co owner, they came in my house and before we could get started the owner pulled out the contract and said, is that your signature, I said yes and he said then why are we here, we already have a job signed for. I explained I was tired of waiting for special windows to be ordered and did not want them to do extra work on 2 bedroom windows that needed to be widened. He claimed he had my windows and was ready to install or we could go to court. At that point I just said F it, get started when u can. I was given a start date for the roof and windows. Roof and gutters were first and I was given a 2 day install for everything. Day 1, got the old roof off, new insulation in and got the roof prepped for new shingles. Day 2, new roof was put on and they left by lunch, at this point I noticed they blew a circuit to half my house not tripped, blew I called up the office and the owner told me, I had to wait till Monday and he would come out currently Saturday again I said F it, went to home Depot and got a replacement myself. On Monday they I get called and asked if they needed to still replace, I just said no, but I still had no gutters, was told, those people will be out in 3 days to do your gutters was originally told, everything will be done in 2 days I also complained about them not covering anything in my garage or cleaning up after in the garage that I was told they would do and also the fact that I could see every nail coming through my roof industry standard they claimed but they did fix the exposed nails over my entry way. After a few more days they came out some guy and his kid to do my gutters, did not fill in any holes they left in my stucco from the old ones, in then called and said, hey, they didn't put on the gutter guards..... guess what, that's a 3rd group that will be out in a week or so, I then complained about the holes and the fact the roofers only replaced 3 of the 4 eve's that were rotted out, was told again that it's industry standards and that the 4th one wasn't bad enough will have pictures... day... who knows at this point, Windows and slider, 2 guys show up who actually look like they work for MHR not sub contractors like the others. 2 day install. Day 1, they get all the windows taken out minus the 2 bedroom windows I refused to have them do and new ones in. Day 2, they do the sliding door and finish off the windows with vinyl trim and place all my blinds and curtains back, I look over and everything looks good. And I am happy it's over.. I am not gonna go over the headache it was getting my energy rebates with them.... fast forward to last week. I got new blinds and curtains and decided to paint the inside of my house..... well, as soon as I get the old blinds off, I see the hack job they did to fix where they extremely messed up but we're able to hide it with my blinds and curtains and most of the vinyl has peeled away as well, I have gotten to the point to just write this and pray my "warranties" don't get lost you know, industry standards..... I hope this helps some people. I will take a lot of blame for not looking over a lot of things before signing off, I should of went through everything better, but I was also tired of complaining and being brushed off, maybe because I went through a state program and was not actually paying them myself they felt I was worth it, but I would hope that wasn't the case.

The owner, Bjorn Metzger, made it his business to communicate with us everyday, whether the team was actually working on the roof or not, and kept me up to date about what to expect with inspections, necessary extra repairs our house is over 50 years old, and expected time of completion. Micah, who we spoke with initially, worked closely with us to make sure that the financing worked for us.The workers on the job itself were efficient and unfailingly polite and professional, to say nothing of getting the job quickly. Best of all, they were very thorough in cleaning up after themselves; I didn't find any debris from the roof replacement anywhere in my yard after the job was done--an important thing, since I have pets.I and my family are VERY pleased with the work that My House Renovation has done, and recommend them highly.

I had a great experience with everyone at My House Renovation. I had been putting off getting my windows replaced for many years. If I knew it would be this easy I would not have waited so long. Everything was so easy and it went just as promised from beginning to end. I have already noticed a huge difference. My house is so quiet and it is so much more comfortable.
