Kalisa Buell | Too bad we have to add a star to publish a review. We worked with Marty Martin Richter who also wrote a review on this company even though he is the actual problem, not the owner from a customer perspective. We had significant damage to our home due to a hail storm. He claimed he was an ex insurance adjuster to get the sale and to make us feel comfortable with the insurance portion but after a month, it took ME calling our insurance company to finally move things along. I heard from insurance the next day. Marty had no idea how to manage our project, never once came by to see how the project was going and after insisting that painted gutters looked awful on homes, he ordered the gutters to be installed before paint. This caused another delay after we already had a delay from a terrible job they did on our roof leaving old headwall flashing on because "that's how they always do it". It looked terrible! A photo is attached. Every one of our neighbors said it looked better before we supposedly got a new roof. All they had to do was place shingles over the flashing. We notified Marty that it looked awful and nothing was done after stating that the roofers were coming back to fix it several times. Lie after lie. We finally went to Ron, the owner, and after several weeks of our house looking ridiculous, Ron ordered the shingles to be placed on top of the flashing. Follow through for each step of our renovation project was also non-existent. Marty was there for the sale and then disappeared probably on several motorcycle trips or with his band as he shared with us numerous times to get the sale. After requesting that Marty be removed from the project, he still contacted us after completion of the project to work out payment with the mortgage company of course. Our renovation project started the end of June, 2018 and was finally complete mid January, 2019. This was due to everything I have listed, as well as Homestreet hiring vendors with just a few workers doing each job. I highly recommend you go with another company! |
Marty Richter | For 17+ years Homestreet Roofing has enjoyed a stellar reputation, until now. They sell you repairs they don't have the personnel to perform. The salesperson is then forced to find unknown, unverified contractors on Craigslist. The owner is apparently having financial difficulty; perhaps it is related to his service issues. Salesman are not being paid as agreed and subcontractors are waiting months to be paid. The owner is telling them he can't pay until more funds are collected from customers. Some of the subcontractors refuse to work for the company. A solar subcontractor had to threaten to lien a customer's house to get paid. This was after a several month delay. The office location has been closed and the company is now run from the owner's home rent too high? It is apparently an underfunded, hap hazard organization. I would use another company. There are hundreds of reputable, financially sound companies in the area with the necessary and vetted personnel to perform the work. |
Randy Stanbro | Not a good company! Too concerned about collecting payment instead of fixing some very low quality repairs. Ken wanted to argue with me instead of addressing the issues. Will not use them again and advise you to look for a more reputable company!!! |
