Advanced Improvements, LLC – Roofing Contractor in Mystic, Connecticut

I like to wait a little bit before writing a review because I feel anything "new" is great at first. With that said, Advanced put an addition our house a little over a year ago. Here are the positives-I love half our addition. The bathroom, two bedrooms, the size of the windows is great. I also have nothing but awesome things to say about the crew. They were absolutely fantastic. Here are the negatives-one of our bedrooms was designed so small that you can't fit a double bed in it. According to the blue prints, you are able to, but in reality, the only way to fit a double bed is if you don't want to open a door. I also dislike our windows very much. We didn't realize that casement windows meant crank out. We expressed this concern, but it was too late. So because of this kind of window, we have no way to put an AC in the summer time. We live in a cape and this past summer it was 95 degrees upstairs. We now have to spend more money to add some kind of cooling system since regular AC's won't work. The screens are also very flimsy. Having young kids, I'm more worried about them falling out of the window than I was before. Another negative was during construction, the crew was pulled to other projects quite a bit, which meant our project was put on hold. Well that wasn't so pleasant when it rained and our roof wasn't complete. We had to contact them numerous times are the roof leaking, in fear we would end up with water damage on our first floor. I would recommend Advanced if you have a top dollar project. I would not recommend Advanced to the average Joe.

I dealt with Bill O'Donnell who works with roofs and decks and he is fantastic. He takes the time to listen to what you want and doesn't pressure you or try to talk you into more than what you really need. The job will be top notch and the price will reflect the workmanship you demand for a great job.
