Columbia Basin Exteriors – Roofing Contractor in Idaho Falls, Idaho

Dealing with this company has been one of the most unpleasant experiences of my life. Our roof looks horrible and the company was willing to discount their work because they realized it was subpar work but didn't want to put any more man hours into it. After battling with them for a year they finally delivered results that I could have done myself without any experience. 6 months later I was cleaning out my gutters and discovered that they had failed to put the gutter hangers in with the exception of a few to keep it up. They did return to install the missing hangers but shortly after 20 feet of my gutter fell off and they wouldn't return to repair despite clearly not installing them properly to begin with. This is not a local company. Keep your business local and use someone else.

Mr. Kamai stopped by our house and spoke with my wife about a free roof inspection. I sent him a message immediately after She spoke to me and thanked him for the offer but told him we did not want the inspection. Later that evening I received a text back telling me that he had sent his guys over to our home and they had conducted the inspection. This was done when nobody was home and without our permission. No way I would use this company after the experience we had with them today.

I am VERY disappointed about my gutters. My gutters that I had, before Columbia Basin Exterior replaced them, lasted for 20 years with NO finish coming off. With the new gutters that Columbia Basin Exteriors installed, they spray painted over white downspouts in November. The paint is coming off of them and they are turning white. Absolutely an unacceptable job. Can't get anyone to respond to the problem. Can't even catch anyone in their little office that they have. Nobody is ever there when I go there. Have to wonder if anyone actually works there anymore. Also have a downspout that was never designed correctly and nobody will respond to fixing it even though the gutter guy said he would be back to fix it. Highly recommend you not pay your bill off until everything is completed to your satisfaction. Otherwise, you will never hear back from them. Hope I don't have to make this a Better Business Bureau issue.
