The integrity, expertise, and professionalism of this company is unmatched! Our cedar shake roof is 19 years old and there are a few trouble spots moss from partial tree coverage. We wanted an evaluation to determine if the roof needed to be replaced or if it had more life. We had two companies assess the roof. The 1st Company that I later found out was a storm chaser/ insurance restoration company basically said our roof was rotten and needed immediate replacement never did receive a quote for roof replacement. The 2nd Company, CRC, assessed the roof to show normal wear and tear of a roof its age and it was not at the stage of imminent failure . Brock Hopma went on to explain that the average life of a shake roof is about 20 years and that average depends on all sorts of environmental factors. He also explained the signs of a "worn roof" and illustrated to us by pictures that our roof was still in pretty good shape. The moss can be treated and mitigated from the roof in warmer weather.
