I contacted HKC to get an estimate on replacing the roof to a carriage house behind my main house that had given me problems for years. I finally decided I was ready to bite the bullet and get a high-level company to replace the roof. Blaine from HKC came over and did a thorough inspection. He actually had me climb on to the roof with him so that he could point out issues with the way the roof had been installed on both my carriage house and main house; essentially, the way that the previous owner replaced the roof was not done the right way, and it was obvious from the issues that Blaine showed me. Rather than pressuring me into a sale, I felt that Blaine was providing me with information so that I could make an informed decision. I decided to redo the roof on both my carriage house and main house, and the quote I received from HKC was competitive and reasonable. I was told there was a 3-5 week wait, but the crew was able to come out in a little over a week. When replacing the roof on my main house, HKC found that the wood was in very poor condition, and needed an overlay of plywood. Before laying down the plywood, Blaine sent me pictures of the state of my roof and then updated my estimate to include the additional costs. He called me to get my permission for the additional repairs, and worked with me on the cost of the additional materials and installation so that they wouldn't go over my budget. They did excellent work and cleaned up thoroughly, and the roof looks excellent. Everything was above board and transparent. After everything was completed, their quality control guy came out to sign off on final inspection, and I was billed accordingly. Blaine told me to contact him if any issues arose with the roof in the years to come, and that they stand fully behind their warranty and service. I would not hesitate to recommend HKC to anyone looking for a new roof, gutters, or windows. A roof replacement is not cheap; sure, you could save money by having a fly-by-night company put a cheap roof on your house like the previous owner of my home, but HKC is a top-level company that does things the right way and is committed to providing service for their products. Your biggest investment is your home, so don't be afraid to invest in a quality roof that is going to last. I'm glad I did, and I have peace of mind knowing that I'm not going to have any more issues with my roof, and if I do, HKC has my back. Thanks!

Had HKC out to look at a leak; HKC rep said roof needed replacement. HKC replaced roof and leak was not fixed. HKC sent contractor out who found and repaired leak located on window just above roof in 15 minutes with caulk gun; there was no need to replace roof. After some back and forth, HKC came through with very generous resolution!

I had a water spot on my ceiling so I called HKC based on reviews. Bryan came out and was very honest and professional. He repaired a couple shingles at no charge! When the time comes for replacement I will definitely be using HKC
