| Tulloch MacDonald | I hired Awareness to remodel my bathroom and cleaning mold from the ceiling. They were also going to repair and fix the second floor steps to meet code. They did not file ant building, plumbing or electric permits claiming they weren't needed. Permits are needed whenever making structural changes such as a remodel. I foolishly thought they had filed the permits, part of their job as the contractor. They claimed that they didn't need them. The city inspector disagreed with them. They have already stripped my bathroom when I learned this. So they left and then I discovered that they didn't have insurance at the time they were working on my property. After learning this I cancelled the contract, requesting my money back in full due to their risk they took in working on my property without insurance. Don't hire them, they're unprofessional and don't know or maybe don't care about what they're doing. |
