Carter Houle | This guy tried to hire me on and ended up walking away from the job offer for two reasons 1 the job site he was overseeing was a detached garage in St. Paul and I took one look at it and all of his studs were out of alignment not plumb which significantly increases the chance of shear and secondly he told me all of his guys operate as “independent contractors” which is false. They are not signing subcontracts every job they go to they are from a legal standpoint, his employees, and the reason he's trying to operate in that grey area is so he doesn't have to provide workers comp insurance, and then expects his employees to pay their own premiums. This has been brought to court before and is a Minnesota statute that employees of a company cannot pay their own liability/workers comp insurance and from a legal standpoint he thinks he can get away with it by calling his employees “independent contractors” but he's the only contractor listed, he's the prime or general contractor and isn't writing out any subcontracts to his “independent contractors” the name of his company is ironic in the sense that this shows no integrity by scamming your employees and also his building practice can be accurately described as “slap it up and go onto the next thing” that was the poorest framing I've ever witnessed and had no interest in being a part of that hack job company. This guy is out for PROFIT he doesn't care for his employees or you the homeowner believe me I'm now a licensed contractor and am well versed in the law and sketchy contractor practices and this guy is trying to get away with as much as he can and pay his employees and subcontractors as little as possible... do not do business with this guy. And if you have remember all structural work legally has to be warrantied for 10 years minimum by the state of Minnesota. Cause there's a good chance your going to have problems in the future |
Matt Johnson | I randomly called Absolute Integrity Construction in need of an emergency construction favor. Guy was the only one in the area willing to take time out of his busy evening and go out of his way to help a complete stranger out, he wouldn't even accept any money. He was truly one of the nicest guys I've met in a long time. Thanks again! |
