John went into the attic to try and trace the origin of it. The leak was originating from around the plumbing vent pipe going through the roof. John did a thorough job of sealing outside around the pipe and he determined the problem was coming from a crack in the pipe. The pipe had also settled over the years and it was preventing the pipe from draining correctly. John sealed the the crack in the pipe and also elevated it so any water that got inside the pipe from the outside would end up draining down into the plumbing in the basement. John also did some preventive work around the chimney to ensure it would not be a problem down the road. Highly recommend Capitol Roofing for any roof job be it putting a new roof on or repairing a leak in a roof. John is great at explaining what he'll be doing and answered all my questions to my satisfaction. His pricing is very fair and he isn't satisfied with the project till you are. |
