After a few email exchanges, the owner seemed to become annoyed with my questions and unceremoniously dumped me with some excuse that the job was too complicated for them. A simple phone call would probably have been more efficient. But the sense that I got was that they weren't interested in anything other than signing a contract and doing the work. Sometimes you have to be willing to work with the client and answer some questions for the job to turn out aesthetically appealing. Maybe I have gotten the wrong impression from them but I don't think so. We'll be looking around some more before we hire someone.
