H & M Industries – Roofing Contractor in Shelby, North Carolina

Spoke with a very nice lady about windows and after talking to my carpenter i decided to purchase one and take it to him to take a look before we purchased many more the window did not meet his approval as he said poorly built including rubber seals that he didn't like. I called H&M and was told they didn't usually do refunds but would have the owner call me this was Friday and as of Monday i haven't herd from them so i call Tuesday and no one answered so left a message no one called me back. I should have know what kind of company i was dealing with when i picked up the in stock window because i as if i was getting the small one or larger sixes and a man behind the counter told the lady helping me that she could just change the number and get the smaller size as they were the same price NOT True the lady had already priced the smaller window around 10.00 less per window. I didn't feel good about this when it happend and should have left at that time but decided to try the window and it may have just been a oversight on his part but after i tried to return this new window and no response from the owner i feel they knew they were overcharging me if i had traded down to a smaller size. I never asked for a full refund and was never offered anything or told up front i couldn't get a refund nor is it stated on their invoice. You would think the windows is worth something to them but it seems not the case it is useless for me as i want a better windows after my carpenter pointed out many problems that he didn't like about it. Very nice lady behind the counter that just does her job well but the owner never called and as stated i waited about three days and then left a message with no reply. All i wanted was the consideration of refunding all or part of my money for a undamaged window that i have no need for and this was a in stock window not a special order. Beware of H&M taking care of the customer is not what they seem to do well. Keep in mind this was picked up on Thursday around 4:00 PM and i called them on Friday before lunch and could't get any help can you imagine trying to get help at a later date. This 192.00 will not break me but seems a company selling a product would offer a unhappy customer something for the unused window thst they clearly knew i was getting approval from my carpenter i should have been told that the carpenter needs to come to the store and look at it as they offer no refunds but nothing was ever said about this.
