Hisel Construction – Roofing Contractor in Springboro, Ohio

I recently retired and decided to relocate from Brooklyn NY back to southwestern Ohio which is where I was raised. I found and purchased a 170 year old 1750 sq ft 3 bedroom home in Yellow Springs OH. When I discussed with my realtor my renovation plans, she highly recommended using Hisel Construction in Springboro OH. I called Ein Hisel, owner, and left a message and he got back to me immediately. I briefly told him what I envisioned for my home and we set up an appointment at my new old home. He came personally one evening and we spent several hours looking over the various rooms, lighting, wiring, etc. Needless to say, Ein understood my vision for this home. We met again a few weeks after out first meeting and I felt very comfortable signing our construction contract. There was a lot of work to do: gut the kitchen and 2.5 bathrooms, refinish the wood floors downstairs and one bedroom, install new hard wood floors in 2 bedrooms, bring wiring up to code, rebuild a staircase, etc. Although we weren't able to start work immediately, when we did, the crew went gangbusters in the sense I saw major progress each day. Communication between the crew, Ein, and myself was excellent. I am very happy with the final product. There were many unique challenges due to the age of my home. The crew took each surprise in stride. The workmanship was 2nd to none. Ein was very involved in the design and material selection processes. I could've never have made these decisions on my own although Ein stated that making such decisions independent of him was an option and more than acceptable. It was a great deal of work, so it took time. Whenever it was necessary to veer from the original plan, Ein would discuss options with me and document our decisions with engineering change orders. I learned a lot about my house and the renovation process. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Ein and working with several different work crews. The estimate and payment process was completely transparent. I believe I received great value and quality in the end.

Top notch carpentry and craftsmanship definitely best in the area

Hisel Construction has saved us in emergency/repair situations and in remodeling our mudroom/laundry/entrance as well as an area in our kitchen. When the latest repair/remodel issue came up in our kitchen, we could have had others work for us, but we were willing to wait to have Ein and his team. He assesses our needs and addresses the unique family and financial issues for every job. On design work, Ein listens to our ideas and merges them with his professional perspective to find solutions that will work. We have never felt pressured or uninformed on any project--large or small--with Hisel Construction. As I think about staying in our home for the long term, I know we will have additional repair and remodeling needs, and I know we will want Hisel Construction to do the design and work.
