American Remodeling – Roofing Contractor in Schuylkill Haven, Pennsylvania

Very unAmerican! It took two weeks to install a roof and carport, which were not completed. They harassed me and objectified me because I am a african American female home owner. I was treated as if I was ignorant. The workers made racist remarks towards my son, my significant other; both of whom are white, and I. The company damaged my home. Did not want to fix their mistakes. They took advantage of me. And just completely ripped me off. My significant other was nothing but kind and considerate towards them. Pointing out all of the mistakes that they made. And even then they disrespected him, got loud, and totally treated him poorly. Even though all he wanted was what he paid for. And for them to fulfill their contact. I do not recommend this company to anyone. Note: they came to our doorstep and asked for our permission to do this job.

We were very pleased with our visit from Sharon. She was very kind and knowledgeable. She helped us understand the process of what we were looking at and the outcomes that were possible for our home. Thank you.

2 stars because the estimator was on time actually 15 min early. Asked for an estimate for a new roof and a basement floor remodel. Met the company at a home show. Was actually really excited about the basement floor estimate. Unfortunately, I never received the estimate. The lady presented me with the roof price 1st. When I told her that I would need to think about it for a couple of days, because I'm receiving multiple estimates, she refused to even measure the floor. Furthermore, she diverged wayy too much Personal info, to the point where i was uncomfortable. Supposedly, she is on day 7 of her ivf cycle! I'm not quite sure why she would share info with me about her monthly cycle, but I think it was a topic best kept for her friends and family. I'm assuming she thought this was an appropriate topic, because I was wearing scrubs...
