Ash Wa | We hired ARS to find a massive blockage that was causing sewage to come up through the floor grate of the bathroom. They came out to snake the plumbing, but found nothing. The gentleman said they needed a camera, but his co-worker had it. They scheduled to come out the following day between 7:00-8:00am. They showed up the following day around 10:30 hours late, used the camera to search for any blockages. None were located. They were able to find water sitting, but with no "belly" they couldn't explain why it was sitting. His "professional opinion" - his words, not mine- was to order two industrial toilets that had a more powerful flush to go on either side of the sitting water so that "if something got stuck, it would push it through." The owner questioned his "professional opinion," and disagreed with the logic, but the only other option was to jack hammer the bathroom floor to search the pipes so said the plumber. After 4 days of being without toilets, we trusted ARS and they installed the new toilets. We were told everything was flushing properly and working well, ARS got the 2,400 check, came back into the office and said, "oh yeah, the new toilets are a little wobbly, but they'll always be that way, that's just how they are." The first flush after they left, there was a worse back up than the first time it occurred. The sewage back up was now coming out of two separate locations in the building. We immediately called ARS and they said they couldn't return because they were too far out. It had been 10 minutes since they left. We agreed to them coming back first thing in the morning, but they HAD to be on time, and had to give us our money back and fix the issue. They quoted us 10k the following morning, and after some discussion between ARS tech and owner, ARS was fired. We did not get a refund. Another company immediately came out, blew out THREE massive blockages, and repaired pipe work under ground for 1,209.08. As for the wobbly toilets the professionals of ARS installed, the owner of my company fixed that himself. |
Donald Armstrong | Had the “comfort advisor” Houston come out and quote me on an AC and he said I needed a larger model 3.5 ton unit instead of my 2.5 ton unit. Schedule an installment they called and I asked again if I needed a larger unit they said yes. They never came and installed the unit so a month later I call back and get a date to install for 6500 for a 3.5 ton unit. They install a 2.5 ton unit which is 1200 cheaper than a 3.5 ton unit and still want me to pay 6500, I said I would pay 5500 since it's a smaller unit and was told I could pay or they would send it to collection. So instead of reprimanding an employee who tried to trick a customer they take it out on the consumer. The slab they installed the unit on was build up using potting mixture that washed away and caused the slap to slope. Also they never pulled a permit so I can't get an inspector to come look at the unit. The unit is leaking water around all the corners but still want 6500 for a unit that was installed incorrectly and not what was agreed on. Also they didn't seal around the unit with silicone correctly but rather slapped some on and left. |
