David M | I had a roof leak and Sergio suggested that I have his crew go through and replace the roof jacks on my roof. I figured okay, he's a roofer and I'm not so he must think that's the issue. Not long after we received heavy rain and I began to immediately have a leak in the exact same area. Sergio would later send out the three guys he initially sent, but this time they were asking me for money. I explained Sergio said this is under warranty, then they started giving my a guilt trip and explained that the leak is coming from a box shaped vent. I climbed in the attic and questioned several times how they came to this conclusion because while I'm not a roofer, I found it hard to believe the leak was originating from the box shaped vent. Nevertheless I followed them to a roofing supply company and bought a pack of shingles, some type of roof caulk and a box vent. One of the three guys kept giving me a guilt trip over the money issue and on the way back to my house I called Sergio to explain that I felt these people are trying to take advantage of me and this situation. I honestly feel that they were trying to run game on me. When we got back to the house, Sergio had spoken to them by this point and they unloaded the material and were frustrated they had to leave. The one guy kept giving me a guilt trip and I explained to him that I would rather have Sergio deal with this issue. Also, those the smelled like marijuana. A week or so later Sergio sent a guy named Guadalupe from a job they were working on in my same neighborhood, however Sergio said that I would need to pay Guadalupe 150.00 since he was not part of the initial work the other three had previously performed. I questioned this, but I ultimately needed this leak fixed and figured I'll pay him. Guadalupe had a totally different take on the situation and determined my leak was coming from the furnace exhaust vent. So he used a particular brand of roof caulk he had and I ultimately returned most of the stuff I had purchased the other week. Not long after we received heavy rain and guess what, I still have a roof leak in the same spot. I once again take a video from inside my attic and send it to Sergio. He explains that he'll send someone out and that day came and went. He then said someone will come another day and that day came and went. My last text to him was any idea when you plan to come out? He's never responded as of 9/18/18. The reason why I'm posting this review today is because I recently had a "real roofer" come out and he immediately pointed out my issue and explained the roof vent had taken a beating from hail damage and that's what's causing your leak and it was evident. Not the roof jack or vents that Sergio had previously suggested. I had literally wasted all this time going back and forth with Sergio and achieved nothing other than a reduced amount in my bank account. So Sergio got paid and I'm still left dealing with a leak that someone else is properly fixing. Don't be a victim everyone!! |
