Three other local roofing companies either declined or did not return our phone calls for a quote on our Queen Anne style historic home including a tower and 3 existing roofs. Mr. Kroll, General Contractor, did admit that the roof was complicated. He and his crew tackled it. It took two weeks of every day Monday-Friday, knowing and expecting hammering at exactly 7:00am and ending at 5:00pm. He and the crew were friendly and Mr. Kroll on-site every day checking on things. There were also Seven finials on the roof. We asked the crew if they would be willing to take them down so we could repair and paint them. I know this was alot to ask as they have not been touched or removed since 1890. Not only did the crew do this with extreme care, we were not charged extra for that favor. It has been three months since they had finished, and our roof looks fantastic. Thank You, Thank You, S & S Roofing! |
