If you want a truly dumbfounding and difficult experience, you should look no further than ARS. In our time dealing with ARS, we never ever felt like a priority. At first, the options presented to us seemed great, and the price was fair. However, when the first day of construction came, it rained for 10 minutes, and we were informed that it was "too wet to work," even though there was ample work to be done in the house. Time and time again that week, we heard the same thing. Finally, when our renovation and some construction did happen, nobody was showing up to the house, so my fiance and I called and emailed the owner multiple times to try and figure out why this was happening. Meanwhile, half of the construction on our house had started, but there were multiple open holes that you could see outside the house, and it rained a ton that week with no guard to protect water from getting in the house. Furthermore, we had a number of wasps that came in the house, as well, since of none of the work was done. Finally, after sending some angry messages to the owner about the progress, he promised that the work would be done in a timely manner. We figured he meant what he did, but people never the owner, mind you, would show up and work on the house, usually between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., which is definitely not a full day. Because of this, we continued to contact the owner, and he promised that work would get done the next day and the entire project would wrap up soon. The owner never made deadlines, and we never felt like we were a priority. We contacted the owner multiple times about the permits that he claimed he picked up, but we never heard from and he never dropped those off to us. Finally, the cherry on top of this wonderful disaster sundae was that the owner stated that they were working on a "big project" and that "unfortunately, we can't commit to getting anybody back over right away because [they're] all tied up." If you are looking for excuse after excuse after excuse, a lack of professionalism, terrible communication, and a potentially unfinished job, you should definitely go with ARS. However, if you are looking for a reputable and respectful contractor/company, I would strongly encourage you to look elsewhere.
